Product Description

What is Mirvaso gel and how does it work?

Mirvaso gel belongs to a medicinal group called alpha agonist which help to narrow blood vessels in the face. If you suffer from rosacea, you will have too much blood flow to your face causing redness in your skin. This medicine contains an active ingredient called brimonidine which reacts with your red blood cells to treat the redness.

How to use Mirvaso gel:

Mirvaso gel is generally easy to use and you can follow the instructions given to you by your doctor, either personally or on the patient information leaflet. The gel should be applied to your face, start with a small dosage for the first week and increase gradually as time goes on based on tolerability and your response to the treatment, but do not exceed the maximum daily dosage. You should spread a thin layer evenly over the affected areas to try and decrease the redness. Do not exceed the daily dosage amount as it could cause further skin irritation and swelling. Wash your hands after usage to avoid getting the gel in your eyes, nose, or mouth.

Mirvaso Gel Dosage:

Mirvaso gel consists of 0.33% strength topical gel that contains active ingredient brimonidine. With each tube of Mirvaso gel containing 3.3mg of brimonidine, this is a very strong gel.

You should apply Mirvaso to the affected area after washing the area and you should do this for around 30 days. The strength of the gel means that adults or children under the age of 18 should not use the gel.
