Malaria is a mosquito-borne life-threatening disease which can affect humans and animals. It causes a high fever, fatigue, vomiting and headaches. In the most severe cases, it can cause the skin to yellow, induce seizures or comas, or even lead to death. If you think you have contracted malaria from a mosquito bite you must contact the nearest emergency service as soon as possible. However, malaria can be prevented through several medications.
