How does Cyclizine work?

Cyclizine medications contain an active ingredient that goes by the same name. This is an antihistamine that works by blocking histamine receptors in the vomiting centre of the brain. This will stop you from feeling any nausea, dizziness, or motion sickness when travelling.

Dosage:

Your doctor will discuss with you the dosage that you should take, but this could change based on the severity of your motion sickness. This medication is suitable for adults and children over the age of 6 years old and should be taken with water up to 3 times a day in some situations.

The recommended dosage of Cyclizine for adults is to be taken with water 1-2 hours before travelling. A further tablet can be taken after 8 hours if necessary, but do not take more than 3 tablets in a 24-hour period. The recommended dose for children between the age of 6 and 12 is half a tablet taken with water up to 3 times a day.
