Melatonin 2mg

Melatonin is a medication used to treat nausea and jet lag. The medication contains an active ingredient of the same name. Melatonin is a naturally occurring hormone which helps to regulate your body clock for day and night and helps you sleep and wake up. Your biological body clock is commonly disrupted when travelling, especially when traveling by plane across different time zones. Symptoms differ between different individuals, but are often found to be a lot worse when you cross multiple time zones. Melatonin can help to reset your body clock to regulate your sleep/wake cycle and relieve the symptoms of jet lag.

Product Description

How does Melatonin work?

The main function of melatonin is to regulate night and day cycles. When it becomes dark, the body produces more melatonin which signals the body to get ready to sleep. When it then lightens the body decreases the production of melatonin, to signal the body to wake up. Low levels of melatonin therefore make it difficult for people to sleep. So, taking a melatonin supplement helps you to fall asleep.

How to use Melatonin:

Melatonin should only be taken by adults. It is recommended that you take 1 to 2 tablets daily for a maximum of 5 consecutive days. You should take the first tablet upon arrival of your destination at the time when you usually go to bed. On the other days you should take Melatonin at the time you would usually go to bed but not before 8 PM or after 4 AM. You should take Melatonin with water and with or without food.
