How Does Rhinolast Work?

Rhinolast contains an ingredient called azelastine hydrochloride which is part of the antihistamine family. This stops the action of histamine in the body. Histamine is produced by your body as a response to an allergen or perceived threat, causing many symptoms that are associated with allergies, like a runny nose, puffy eyes, itching, and sneezing, to name just a few. Whilst your body is trying to protect you by making these histamines, it can cause some unpleasant symptoms and be quite uncomfortable to live with.

Rhinolast works by reducing the effects of histamine and stopping the overreaction that is caused by histamines.

Dosage Information and How to Use Rhinolast

It is recommended that you use Rhinolast Nasal Spray every morning and evening when you are suffering from allergies, but you should also speak to your doctor or GP when deciding on the daily dosage for this medication.

Before using Rhinolast, you should always check the directions on the box and bottle and the leaflet that comes with it to ensure your using the medicine correctly.

Side Effects of Rhinolast

Rhinolast, like most other medicines, does have a few side effects, but not everyone gets them. When using Rhinolast, it is common to experience an unpleasant taste in your mouth, especially if you tilt your head backwards when applying the medicine to your nostrils. This could also result in you feeling nauseous for a while, but not everyone will experience this.

You could also notice a subtle itch or irritation in your nose after using Rhinolast, and this could result in bleeding from the nose, although, this is very rare.

When using Rhinolast, you could also experience an allergic reaction with common symptoms of this being rash, hives, or pruritus. If you suffer any of these symptoms you should immediately stop using Rhinolast and contact your GP.

Can I Use Rhinolast?

Your medical history may affect the way that Rhinolast works for you. Children under the age of 6 years old should not use Rhinolast.

It is also important to not use Rhinolast if you are allergic to any ingredients in the medicine like azelastine hydrochloride. Although it is not common for Rhinolast to interact with any other medicines or treatments, it is always important to inform your doctor before taking this medicine. You should also speak to your GP before using this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding to ensure it is safe.
